at least it's still "new".

EvilGentleman: 26th May 2006 - 18:19 GMT

Is the sign recycled? What kind of lounge sells "Packaged Goods" (If that's what it's supposed to say)

Peter: 26th May 2006 - 19:12 GMT

"package goods" as in a ... its interesting cause this place appears to be a liquor store as well as a bar...

EvilGentleman: 26th May 2006 - 19:20 GMT

Oh, ok. The wiki link was interesting. I had never heard the phrase before. Learned something new today.

Peter: 26th May 2006 - 19:26 GMT

yeah... the specific, idiosyncratic meaning of the term "package store" has all but been forgotten. now its just an arcane (though still used often enough, especially on older cities that have bars/stores that have been around for ages) euphemism for "liquor store". im sure its a strictly american term.
