Today, Fredericton, along with many other cities across the world held a Solidarity Across Borders march in protest to immigration policies in Canada, USA, and France among others. It was peaceful enough, only about 30-35 people showed up but we're a small city. We began by meeting in a park then marched down one of the main streets of downtown. Soon afterwards, we were surrounded by police who told us to move to the sidewalk as we didn't have a permit After some protest, we moved to the sidewalk and proceeded to city hall.
